Harvest, July 13, 2010

In todays harvest we expect;

Daytona Cucumbers

Tomatoes

Cucumbers

Bell peppers

Anaheim hot peppers

Kohlrabi

Kale

Onions

Carrots (shin Kuroda, a Japanese variety which is very nice)

Broccoli

Basil

Leaf Lettuce

Cheese share is cheese curds from Lorenae Dairy in Galena

Sarah is out of town, so this week’s bread is being baked by Sheri Gann, of Deeper Roots Farm, here in Springfield.

Fruit share is Peaches from Ozark Mountain Orchard.

The weather has been great for the crops for the last few days, with great rain, combined with plenty of sunshine and warmth.  New seeds are coming up very well, so we should be enjoying more Arugula in about three or four weeks, along with lots of other greens, radishes, and Japanese turnips.
