Harvest for April 17, 2012

The rains this weekend were great for the crops in the ground; April showers bring May flowers, (which bring cucumbers, squash, head lettuce, and tomatoes in short order).  Meanwhile, we are grateful for the members who came out on Saturday and worked with us in the greenhouse, transplanting, trellissing, and irrigating, and then moved outside to plant more rhubarb and mulch some future tomato beds.  We accomplished a lot in a short time.

In today’s harvest;

Zucchini for those who haven’t had one yet.

Asparagus (probably for everyone)

Green onions

Head Lettuce

Baby lettuce

Spinach

Rainbow chard

Yukon Gold Potatoes (organic from Colorado)

Mint

Arugula

Radishes

There are three more winter CSA pick-ups before the summer season starts, and please remember to put the potluck, Saturday May12, on your calendar. Hope you enjoy the spring sunshine today.

Thanks,

Curtis
