Harvest for August 28, 2012

Greetings from the farm.  Today’s harvest includes a few things we haven’t had much of for a while, like squash, cucumbers, arugula, chard, etc.,  while it only has a few of the things which are still suffering from the drought, like tomatoes.  We are hopeful for a big rain over the weekend, as the tropical storm comes our way.  A good rain right now would help out a great deal in securing a good harvest for the fall and winter.
In today’s harvest;
Okra
Hot Peppers
Arugula
Asian Red Beans
Bell peppers
Celery
Radishes
Cucumbers
Whole Shares only;
Eggplant
Yellow squash
Cherry Tomatoes/ watermelon
Chard
Half Share only;

Pint of salad tomatoes
Fruit share is choice of Peaches or Raspberries
Bread Share is Potato Bread.
Hope you have a great evening.
Thanks,
Curtis
