Harvest, December 18, 2012

In today’s harvest you’ll find a nice mix of fresh greens from the fields and greenhouses, alongside a great selection of storage crops like potatoes and squash.  We’re a little short handed on the farm today, so if you have a little extra time, you might run out and lend a hand for a couple of hours.  Otherwise, I’ll see you at the pick-up this afternoon, and I hope you have a delightful holiday.  Remember, this is the beginning of the winter break for the CSA, so our next pick-up will be January 29, 2013.
Today we have;
Spinach
Leeks
Kale
Japanese Salad Turnips
Golden Globe turnips (best for cooking, either boiled or our personal favorite, Roasting)
Potatoes, mixed colors, with some red, some gold, and some blue.
Squash, choice of butternut, spaghetti, and pumpkin
Bell Peppers, red and green
Carrots
Head Lettuce
Whole shares only;
Beets
Chard
Green onions
Please remember to bring your tote back to homegrown food if you pick up there, or to put it outside your door if you have home delivery.
Thanks,
Curtis
