We are hosting the farm-to-table dinner here this Saturday. There are a limited number of tickets for this event so get your soon. This is a fundraiser for our farmers market, FMO. Join us for an afternoon and evening experiencing the farm life at three FMO farms and concluding with a fun family friendly dinner at Millsap Farms, just north of Springfield, MO.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
2:00 pm – We ask that everyone meet us at Millsap Farms (6593 N Emu Lane, Springfield, MO.) and leave their vehicles and pick-up a ride on the shuttle. Transportation from Millsap Farms, to all farms will be provided. For exact directions to Millsap Farm call 417-839-0847 or go online to MillsapFarms.com
3:00 pm – Meet and Greet at Sunshine Valley Farm, Mike and Jan Wooten, Rogersville, MO. The Wootens operate an orchard, berry patch and on-farm restaurant. Enjoy Blueberry Lemonade for refreshments, courtesy of Sunshine Valley Farm.
4:20 pm – Meet and Greet at Mockingbird Gardens, Lee and Lee Ann Worman, Springfield, MO. The Wormans are market gardeners that finished their first year at FMO and have expanded their operation to include a high tunnel and many additional raised beds this year. We will view beds of greens, potatoes, garlic, shallots, green beans to name a few. Enjoy Mint Tea for refreshments, courtesy of Mockingbird Gardens.
5:30 pm – Return back to Millsap Farms and meet Curtis and Sarah Millsap and family, Springfield, MO. Tour the expansive farm operation, which includes greenhouses, high tunnels, field vegetables, egg production and much more.
6:30 pm – Dinner is served, family-style and will include soup, salad, three types of pizzas made from the Millsap Farm wood-fired pizza oven and enjoy an expansive dessert bar that includes sweet treats from our FMO vendors. Mother’s Brewery will be on hand to serve local spirits.
8:30 pm – Party Wrap-Up
