We were able to almost finish our revamped seedling table. This is such an improvement over the old one. Come on Spring we are ready! These photos also show us working on soil blocking and starting seeds!
The new table was a process or raising and rebuilding it while widening it and creating a small slope to help the water drain. Then styrofoam insulation panels were added to keep heat near the plants. Plastic covered this to protect the insulation. The heat tubes which circulated hot water from an on demand hot water heater needed to be lengthened and repaired. Then the tubes were sorted and stretched over the table. Finally horse panels were cut and placed over the tubes to protect the heat tubes as trays of soil are scooted around the table surface. The panels also allow a little air flow to the bottom of the soil block trays to keep them healthy.

Insulation went over the 2×4 which was then covered with plastic. Then we laid the heat tubing and horse panels over the top

sorting out the warming tubes, splicing in tubes and lengthening them so they will run the entire length of the new table
