So what did the CSA for July 22 2014

Summer has returned!  The heat is on, and with it, the summer crops, like tomatoes, eggplant, bell peppers, and cucumbers are producing well.  The farm crew and I are working a siesta schedule, starting at 6a.m., and finishing at lunch when we can, to avoid the worst of the heat. So far, the heat we’re experiencing is not particularly damaging to most crops, although it does make the lettuce a bit bitter, and makes the carrots less sweet.  Meanwhile, the harvests continue, and pizza night is scheduled for the coolest night of the week (pun intended)
